Primary Responsibilities

A major client in the Dublin area is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team on a hybrid work basis. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in migrating their data center from an on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-based environment, ensuring minimal disruption to active applications.



Key Responsibilities:



* Assist in the migration of active applications from on-premises data centers to AWS, with a focus on Windows EC2

* Design and implement MySQL database solutions that are scalable, resilient, and optimized for the cloud.

* Utilize Azure DevOps for planning, tracking, and coordinating migration activities.

* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using YAML configurations.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition of services.

* Monitor system performance post-migration and optimize as necessary.

* Ensure compliance with security best practices during the migration process.

This opportunity has an estimated pay rate of $65-$75 an hour

* Proven experience in data center migrations, particularly from on-premises to AWS cloud environments.

* Strong background in managing Windows Server environments with Windows EC2.

* Proficient in MySQL database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

* Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management and collaboration.

* Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience in implementing pipelines.

* Knowledge of YAML for configuration management.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
