Inbound Collections Specialist

$19.50 per hour (.50 raise after training)

Temp to Hire

Monday-Thursday, Full Availability 9am-9pm, and Friday 9am-6pm

Grandview, Ohio (onsite)

Starts January 27th, 2025

What the position offers:

• 1 PTO day earned monthly and can carry over month to month but not year to year
• Paid holidays + 2 floating holidays
• Access to company café, Starbucks, and gym when onsite
• 10% additional pay for any hours after 6:00pm, Monday-Friday (Shift Premium)
• Need to have open availability from 9:00am-9:00pm, Mon-Thu, and 9:00am-6:00pm, on Friday
• Mandatory 1-hour orientation

What you'll be doing:

Handle inbound collection calls on accounts for all customers that are 1-74 days past due

• Negotiate mutually agreeable resolutions using deductive reasoning to lower the companies' exposure to loss
• Handle and document inbound collection phone calls utilizing the company's service standards and by the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and State Regulations
• Execute thorough documentation of all collection efforts
• Process payments on accounts and work to bring the account current with solid payment arrangements
• Follow up with customers as needed by preparing and sending documents within corporate guidelines
• Resolving customer issues; exercising sound judgment in decision-making regarding credit disputes
• Be engaged in associate development opportunities and complete training requirements
• Aid that may be required because of a business project or process at the direction of your Team Leader or Manager

Who we're looking for:

• Business-related bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• Must have a clean credit history
• 6-12 months in an elevated customer service role
• 6-12 months in collections is preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized and professional
