Our client is looking for a Quality Technician to join their team. Our client is a manufacturing company that specializes in steel and metal fabrication for both prototypes and mass production. Their expertise spans a variety of processes, including stamping, laser machining, and assembly for industries such as automotive, mass-transit railcar, and motorsports.

The Quality Technician will be responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of production process, and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with metal inspection.
- Ability to use and read inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities/Duties:
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Utilize close-tolerance measuring equipment to inspect the quality of products and materials (e.g. micrometers, calipers and coordinate measuring machine).
- Measure component parts, assembly parts and fixtures to predetermined requirements.
- Assist to implement, maintain and modify quality control procedures.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of customer requirements and or equipment capabilities.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
