Location: Columbus, OHPay Range: $72,000 - $90,000/year (Direct) or $34.62 - $43.27/hour (Contract)We’re seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to join a growing team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a 6-month contract-to-direct hire opportunity with a focus on designing and managing transportation infrastructure projects.Responsibilities:Lead transportation design, including calculations, reports, plans, and roadway modeling.Coordinate with project managers and leadership to ensure budget, schedule, and project tracking.Prepare proposals and preliminary project evaluations.Collaborate with public agencies and other firms during project coordination.Support Ohio and regional offices on infrastructure projects.Requirements:Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio (or Indiana).Proficiency in MicroStation and Bentley Open Roads Designer.5+ years of transportation project design experience (ODOT or INDOT projects preferred).Strong communication and leadership skills; project management experience is a plus.Must reside and be eligible to work in the United StatesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (ABET accredited).Experience working on ODOT, county, and municipal projects.Familiarity with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite.Details:Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.Onsite position with occasional travel (10%).Business casual attire.Join a dynamic and growing civil engineering firm with a collaborative and supportive culture.
