Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Logistics and Distribution to oversee the end-to-end movement and storage of goods across the supply chain. This includes transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution operations. The role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products to customers and retail or distribution centers while maintaining high standards for service, safety, and compliance.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics and distribution strategies aligned with overall supply chain and business goals.
• Oversee daily operations of transportation and warehouse management across multiple sites and regions.
• Optimize logistics networks and distribution models to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Lead third-party logistics (3PL) relationships, including contract negotiations, performance management, and SLA compliance.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory turns, and cost-per-unit shipped.
• Implement technology and automation initiatives to drive operational efficiency and real-time visibility.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations related to transportation, customs, and safety.
• Manage logistics budgets and provide regular reporting and forecasting to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. planning, procurement, sales, customer service) to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing logistics and distribution team.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• At least 8 years in logistics and supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.
• Proven experience in managing logistics and distribution functions.
• Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills.
• Willingness to work with others as a member of a team.
