Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee food services throughout the Ohio market. This position will require 80% travel. UC Health brings together the region's top clinicians and researchers to provide world-class care to the Cincinnati community and beyond. What You'll Do

The successful candidate will:

  • Seek and develop potential new business leads within an assigned geographic area.
  • Visit and inspect current accounts on a regular basis.
  • Monitor cost control programs.
  • Investigate areas that do not meet Sodexo standards and recommend improvement strategies to GM.
  • Initiate strategic action plans with the GM.
  • Assist DM/GM in re-negotiating terms of contract during contract renewals.
  • Assist management team in developing account business plans to enhance customer service, facility layout and design, account profitability and retention, and client and customer satisfaction.

What You Bring

  • Prior management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably leading food and/or other support services.
  • Ability to effectively build strong relationships with both staff and clients.
  • Demonstrated success in building efficiencies and/or innovations within teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with demonstrated success.
  • A passion for a high level of customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience - 5 years.
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years.
