As the IT Director for the Retail team at DHL Supply Chain, you will focus on developing your team, enhancing existing site systems, and driving growth through pursuits, IT investments, and product roadmaps. This senior leadership position is critical for overseeing both new and ongoing projects that support business objectives, guiding them from initial concept through to implementation. Achieving success in this role necessitates establishing strong relationships with executive leadership and working collaboratively with various departments to create and implement effective IT strategies.
Job Description
This role is responsible for directing IT project management staff, knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to IT project activities in order to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of all project stakeholders – including the customer. This includes the management of critical project components including project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement through all phases of the systems life cycle.
Responsible for the coordinated management of a portfolio of projects to achieve a set of specific business objectives not available from managing projects individually. Directs programs from original concept, through IT solution definition and design to final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the program including executive levels. Directs program strategy and objectives. Provides senior oversight of detailed work plans, schedules, program estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Directs program meetings, program tracking and analysis. Directs the review of program deliverables. Provides project management guidance and oversight to project teams. Provides IT thought leadership and continuous improvement for overall IT delivery performance. Communicates with CIO or above regarding status of specific programs.
