Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Director of Sales to join Graduate Columbus and its team of hospitality enthusiasts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and promote a teamwork environment with effective communication among co-workers through positive leadership.
  • Provide pricing and guidance recommendations to sales staff; review and approve special corporate negotiated rates.
  • Develop a working knowledge of hotel operations, including food and beverage, guest services, and reservations.
  • Ensure adherence to company sales policies and SOPs.
  • Drive customer loyalty and grow account share by delivering service excellence.
  • Guide RFP season planning with the help of GM and Regional DOS & National Sales.
  • Ensure all solicitation, closing, and communication activities are documented.
  • Identify and pursue new and repeat business through prospecting, visits, site tours, and networking events.
  • Maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and develop proactive strategies.
  • Analyze sales reports and monitor pricing strategies to optimize revenue.
  • Participate in revenue and expense forecasting.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to ensure competitive rate positioning.
  • Review market performance through weekly and monthly share analysis and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and implement new sales programs, tracking ROI.
  • Manage marketing efforts, including collateral, online marketing, and advertising ROI.
  • Prepare annual marketing, business, and budget plans.
  • Set and monitor team goals for sales activities and revenue targets.
  • Abide by Prime Time Selling hours.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or Marketing.
  • At least 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience with leadership responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical skills related to hotel revenue impact.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of revenue management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
