Job Overview:

The Fleet Transportation Director will have strategic oversight of the Supply Chain KDP Private Fleets for US operations and is accountable for exceeding customer expectations while sustainably reducing costs. This role requires a leader who can Think Bold, challenge the status quo, and be an inspirational change agent for the organization. To drive consistency, they will engage with their teams to identify and implement LEAN best practices across the network. The Logistics Transportation Director will also focus on building a robust talent pool through active development of team members and other leaders.

Position Responsibilities

1. Lead through RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) methods – implementing visual management, A3 processes, and lean logistics concepts.
2. Manage all financial aspects of the operation, including AOP development, capital planning, and administration.
3. Analyze forecasts vs. capacities to identify and prevent service outages, customer impacts, and inefficiencies.
4. Support cost savings initiatives within the network by increasing inbound KDP freight, selling excess capacity, and optimizing the network to baseline market rates.
5. Ensure safety programs and regulations are adhered to, promoting good safety practices.
6. Create and implement improvement plans for operations, asset management, and management systems.
7. Develop High Performance Teams (HPT) through team-based problem solving across interfaces such as sales, operations, warehousing, and asset management.
8. Build a robust talent pool through active development of direct reports and other leaders.
9. Foster cross-functional collaboration through open communication and influencing partners to make One KDP decisions.
10. Create self-managed leadership teams through engagement and empowerment.
11. Participate in and manage strategic national initiatives, demonstrating peer leadership.
12. Continuously challenge the status quo and serve as an inspirational change agent.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
• Data-driven and KPI-oriented decision making.
• Understanding of transportation networks, costs, fleet operations, and asset management.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Financial acumen with P&L ownership experience of over $25-$75M in an asset/driver-based environment.
• AOP and Capital planning experience.
• HPT experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, TMS, and other computer skills.
• Management, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

Requirements:

• 10 years' experience in large team management in a fast-paced environment.
• Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline preferred.
• AOP and Capital Planning experience.
• Understanding of Occupational Safety Regulations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Multi-site leadership experience.
• Customer-centric orientation.
