Job Summary/Basic Function:

Position located in Columbus, Ohio
The Associate Director will be responsible for creation and maintenance of statewide articulation
agreements for Industry-Recognized Credentials for the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network. The candidate selected shall provide direct support to the Senior Director of Career-Technical Education Transfer Initiatives with the Industry-Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guides (ITAGs) initiative.

Minimum Qualifications

Position located in Columbus, Ohio
• Master's Degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of articulation and transfer experience in some combination of the
following areas: academic administration, academic program development, accreditation
process, credit for prior learning, career advising/placement or academic advising for
technical programs, student recruitment, or academic services.
• An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify
an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Some managerial experience, whether of people, programs, or projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D.
• Five years of experience in higher education, preferably with articulation and transfer.
• Experience in academic program development and implementation
• Supervisory experience.

Essential Functions and percent of time:

50% Oversee and support the ongoing development of new and existing statewide articulation
agreements under the industry-Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guides (ITAGs) initiative
with the following activities:
• Provide project management and leadership for all aspects of new and existing ITAG creation by
working with faculty experts, overseeing work of faculty panels, managing the statewide
endorsement process, and other activities up through ITAG announcement.
• Recruit and train faculty and industry experts to serve on ITAG development panels.
• Oversee the duties of the faculty subject matter lead experts and provide assistance when necessary.
• As part of the ITAG development process, work with other OATN team members to review transfer
initiatives that serve other student populations (TAGs, CTAGs, MTAGs, One-Year Option, and Ohio
Guaranteed Transfer Pathways)
• Develop and oversee the timetable for the development of new ITAGs and the revision of existing
ITAGs.

35% Perform the administrative duties for the creation of the ITAGs with the following activities:
• Work on the Scope of Work for the ITAG Leads and other consultants.
• Monitor the MOU and contract process for ITAG Leads and other consultants and assist with the
invoicing process.
• Develop and analyze endorsement surveys.
• Create documents and communication tools for ITAGs and maintain documents on the ITAG website.
• Attend meetings and communicate regularly with a variety of constituents via e-mail, phone calls,
webinars, and in-person meetings.
• Provide support for the implementation of ITAGs.

The Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network ( OATN ) is a consortium of the Ohio Department of
Higher Education ( ODHE ). The employee in this position will be a Wright State University ( WSU )
employee as WSU serves as the fiscal agent for the OATN consortium but the position is based in
Columbus, Ohio. The employee in this position reports to the Senior Director of Career-Technical
Education Transfer Initiatives at the Ohio Department of Higher Education based in Columbus, Ohio.
