IT Strategic Sourcing Consultant

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, OH (downtown office) preferred but open to remote for the right fit

Pay: $41.27/hr

Schedule: Regular business hours

Job Summary:

Join our client's Strategic Sourcing Team to lead high-impact procurement initiatives. In this role, you'll consult with business units to source goods and services, manage complex contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise teams on sourcing strategies for complex purchases across multiple categories but mostly software and hosting services
• Lead RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier evaluations
• Analyze spend data to identify savings and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with legal, IT, finance, and other stakeholders on contract development and renewals
• Support forecasting and vendor management across assigned categories

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field (preferred)
• 6–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, contract law, and vendor negotiation
• Experience with technology sourcing and enterprise-wide solutions is a plus
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
