Materials Supervisor

Amsted Rail Company - Griffin Wheel, the leading manufacturer of quality railroad wheels in North America, is currently looking for qualified candidates interested in joining our manufacturing group as the Materials Supervisor at our Groveport, Ohio facility.

This position supervises, directs, and schedules receipts, disbursements, and inventory of purchased goods, including recordkeeping and day-to-day storeroom activities to ensure adequate supplies of parts and materials as needed by production and maintenance for optimal materials management. Supervises, motivates, and trains material coordinators to maintain an efficient operation.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of previous materials experience with supervisory skills, experience in shipping/warehouse/inventory materials management, and vendor negotiations. MRP experience and ISM/APICS certification are considered pluses. Proficiency in personal computer applications (spreadsheets and word processing) is required.
