Select, dress, set up, and use grinding wheels for surface grinding, and form grinding. Hand grind, polish and finish die components. (30%)Perform die maintenance such as cleaning, inspection, sharpening, and preventive maintenance. Die repair, reconstruction and restoration of damaged dies as needed. (30%)Machines parts by using lathe, mill, drill press, and other typical shop equipment. (20%)Confirm assembly by verifying dimensions, clearances, and alignment of parts and components with micrometers, thickness gauges, gauge blocks, and dial indicators. Confirm performance of die at the press, check clearances, inspect operation, make adjustments, and compare finished product to specifications. (20%)DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - If you can do everything listed above, youve got what it takes.
