City of Columbus- Department of Public Utilities. Division of Water. Equipment Operator II - This position is responsible for the operation of a variety of heavy, or highly complex, motorized equipment involving difficult problems of operation and/or great consequence of error; performs related duties as required. The Equipment Operator will be operating cranes, backhoes, front end or related equipment, driving dump trucks and hauling dirt, performing minor preventive maintenance on equipment, and preparing equipment and vehicle logs. General knowledge of the mechanical operations of powered construction and maintenance equipment is a plus. The scheduled shift will be 7:00 am-3:30 pm Tuesday-Saturday. The salary range for this position is: $30.01-$38.10 per hour.
