INDUSTRIAL FIRE LIEUTENANT PAY: $18.68 Hourly. JOB DUTIES The Fire Lieutenant directs the activities of all Fire personnel during an assigned shift. Responds to emergencies and performs fire suppression/ EMS activities, rescue, damage control and property preservation. Maintains a state of readiness of facilities and equipment by scheduled inspections, testing and maintenance. Promotes the health and safety of the department. Although firefighting and rescue work are the most difficult and responsible areas of activity, the major portion of time is spent drilling and studying methods, techniques, and organization, and in routine duties in the care and maintenance of customer property and equipment.
