Transportation Operations Manager - Amazon

The Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing transportation operations at multiple sites within a designated region. The role requires a proven ability to drive process improvements, manage growth, and motivate teams to meet tight deadlines.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

1. Lead and supervise a team of Transportation Area Managers at individual sites to optimize logistics operations.
2. Ensure safety, quality, performance, and customer experience standards are met within your region.
3. Manage responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
4. Achieve and surpass operational goals.
5. Engage in strategic planning, forecasting, performance appraisal, employee recognition, coaching, problem-solving, and staffing.
6. Mentor, train, and develop team members for career growth and learning.
7. Share best practices across shifts and networks.
8. Travel up to 50% may be required.
9. Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business demands.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of employee management and performance oversight experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience (blue badge/FTE).
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques (1+ years).
