Project Engineer - Metals

• Perform field service, remote phone support, and system build support as required. Complete documentation in a timely manner. Represent ISRA VISION professionally on site.
• Conduct site surveys, installations, maintenance, and repairs on vision inspection systems.
• Work with vision inspection in the glass industry to detect defects in metalmaterial during production.
• Determine site and equipment requirements; outline interdependencies.
• Understand customer goals; identify consequences of various solutions. Develop installation and escalation plans.
• Configure system hardware, software, and network components.
• Assemble and integrate system/product, and verify operation.
• Use proactive monitoring to identify problem prevention opportunities.
• Provide customers with an overview of installation activity, site-specific information, and access to appropriate contacts.
• Conduct customer training; present information clearly and persuasively.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by clarifying needs and ensuring they are met.
• Handle customer-relations problems promptly and escalate issues as needed.
• Support 24/7 service plan customers.
• Communicate objectives and results related to installations and inspection issues.
• Provide feedback on competitive systems.
• Conduct applications support to optimize inspection systems where appropriate.

• Associate's degree and technical courses or equivalent experience.
• Experience in automation, preferably with machine vision equipment.
• 2 years of independent field installations and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing automation components and programmable devices.
• 80% travel.
