About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business Development in the North America region. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the business development strategy for the region, as well as managing a team of business representatives. This role involves setting concrete goals, coaching team members to build and nurture client relationships, and supporting the identification and development of strategic business opportunities in the biopharmaceutical sector. The VP will also be involved in lead generation, including working with marketing to create campaigns, and will be expected to establish and develop relationships with key senior management at potential new customers. Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a scientific discipline, with a significant background in scientific and/or business development within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical services industry. Experience in leading a sales team, particularly in the context of selling services for a CDMO, is essential. The role requires excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with both clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a team player, and have a proven track record in meeting business objectives.
