TITLE: Product Data Analyst
REPORTS TO: Product Analytics Manager
STATUS: Salaried
LOCATION: Remote, Columbus, OH area
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
PAY: $70,000-$83,000/year
JOB SUMMARY: The Product Data Analyst transforms data and insights into strategic business opportunities driving process optimization and revenue growth. This role evaluates operational and financial data, customer requirements, and market trends to develop enhanced business strategies while collaborating across multiple business units on diverse projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Data Analysis & Insights: Understand data sources, structures, and definitions across database tables. Analyze and monitor the impact of product/service offerings using statistical methods in Excel, Python, or R. Work with customers and potential clients to evaluate data sets against existing products. Research organizations and individuals to identify new business opportunities and investigate client-reported issues
- Technical Development: Write programs using SQL and Python for data extraction, cleansing, and analysis. Design and implement enhancements to existing services based on product line understanding. Partner with business units to assess the impact of potential changes and develop new products, enhancements, and reporting solutions
- Reporting & Documentation: Recommend and design ongoing reporting solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation following model risk management procedures. Develop research plans and project implementation strategies following model risk management procedures and requirements
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical and non-technical teams to design and deliver strategic analysis. Partner with customers to understand technical needs and create custom services.
- Continuing Education: Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to stay current with market trends and networking opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field required
- Experience in sales, analytics or related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, JSON, Atlassian, and Microsoft Office Suite,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with passion for complex data analysis with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical findings to business stakeholders
- Self-motivated with high energy and strong work ethic
- Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools and emerging technologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree in relevant field
- Experience using Perl programming
- Knowledge of Splunk, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Experience with data warehouses, Oracle Data Miner or similar BI tools
- Background in creating and interpreting predictive models
- 2+ years of business experience programming with R and Python
- 2+ years of related industry experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the person in this position will be required to frequently communicate information so others will understand. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about the inside of an office. The person in this position may need to position self to maintain files in a cabinet and place computers under a desk or in a cabinet. This position requires ability to constantly observe typewritten text on a computer screen. The person in this role is required to operate a laptop and use a telephone regularly. The person in this position may be required to travel throughout the USA by automobile or airplane which may require overnight lodging.
