ConnectedHR is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Human Resources Director Consultant (part-time) to join our dynamic, award-winning team. This is a unique opportunity for strategic HR leaders who enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and making an impact across diverse industries.

In this role, youll work directly onsite with clients as a trusted advisor and contribute to impactful HR initiatives and projects. If you're a self-starter who thrives in a consultative role and enjoys variety, autonomy, and challenge, lets connect.

What Youll Do

  • Provide strategic HR consulting to clients of varying sizes and industries.
  • Advise business owners and senior leadership on complex HR issues.
  • Roll up your sleeves as a working consultant - strategic and hands-on.
  • Create and implement HR strategies, policies, and training programs.
  • Navigate employment laws and HR best practices with confidence.
  • Engage employees and leaders to influence culture and drive performance.
  • Collaborate with the ConnectedHR and ConnectedTALENT teams to share knowledge and support peers.

What Were Looking For
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner (HRBP) experience; prior consulting experience is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or HR certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP), strongly preferred.
  • High emotional intelligence, exceptional communication skills, and solid business acumen.
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites throughout the Columbus, OH metro area.
  • A professional, confident presence with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Proven expertise across core HR disciplines, including:
    • Strategic Business Planning
    • Policy Development & Compliance
    • Leadership Development & Succession Planning
    • Performance Management
    • HRM/HRIS systems and implementation
    • Employee Relations & Workplace Investigations
    • Compensation & Benefits Strategy
    • Onboarding & Recruitment Strategy Implementation
    • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
