Major duties

Technical Recruiter owns the complete lifecycle of the hiring process across our Industrial Automation divisions in Canada and the US. Youll take full responsibility for identifying, attracting, engaging, and hiring top-tier talent across engineering, skilled trades, and technical business units. From building sourcing strategies and partnering with hiring managers to managing interviews, offers, and onboarding, youll drive every stage of the recruitment process. Youll be instrumental in delivering a best-in-class candidate experience while ensuring we consistently hire top-quality talent that aligns with our business needs. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, strategic mindset to talent acquisition and thrive in an environment where they can make a direct impact on hiring outcomes.

Note: This is a 12-month contract position. This is a hybrid rolewhile we may work remotely, we are expected to attend in-person meetings at the office as required, as well as external hiring & employer branding events.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full talent acquisition lifecycle for each role, including requisition approvals, intake with the hiring manager, job posting, sourcing, and interviewing
  • Coordinate interviews with candidates
  • Conduct background screening and references
  • Coordinate and attend local career fairs
  • Work with local colleges and universities to recruit new graduates
  • Prepare offer packages
  • Lead sourcing activities for difficult-to-fill roles
  • Create talent pipelines for future hiring
  • Assist in pulling reports to track metrics
  • Support other HR team members with the RMS tool and LinkedIn
  • Work on various Talent/Recruitment projects
  • Partner with the HR team to ensure recruitment and HR practices align with business strategy and candidate experience is seamless
  • Use ABM (ATS Business Model) to foster continuous improvement in the recruitment process
Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Do not remove or alter safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
  • Report unsafe conditions or acts
  • Report defects in equipment or protective devices
  • Ensure required protective equipment is used for assigned tasks
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
  • Report accidents/incidents to supervisor and assist in investigations
  • Avoid prank, contest, or rough conduct
Qualifications

Education: A post-secondary degree specializing in human resources or equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full cycle recruitment experience
  • Strong experience sourcing, particularly using LinkedIn and other social media
  • Experience with recruitment management systems (e.g., Taleo, SuccessFactors)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience recruiting for technical roles, especially in engineering; automation-related recruiting is a definite asset
