About the Role

The Company is on the lookout for an experienced Vice President, Chief Legal Officer for its Intelligent Spaces business segment. In this crucial role, you will act as the primary legal executive, providing strategic legal advice across a diverse global portfolio of advanced technology and software products.

Your leadership will be essential in shaping legal strategies that support product commercialization, market entry, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and regulatory compliance. As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate closely with executive peers to ensure alignment of legal strategies with the broader organizational objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include serving as the chief legal advisor to the segment's President and senior leadership, spearheading legal strategies for global growth initiatives, and managing complex legal agreements. You will also provide guidance on international expansion, support M&A activities, and oversee legal operations impacting the business segment.

To qualify for this position, candidates should hold a JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. With 10-12+ years of legal experience, particularly in-house at a technology company, you will have a proven track record in technology law, encompassing software, SaaS, AI, data use/privacy, cybersecurity, and commercial contracts.

Successful candidates will possess strong commercial instincts, exceptional communication skills, and the capability to influence business strategies on a global scale. Experience in international regulatory compliance, intellectual property risk management, and leading legal teams or managing outside counsel is essential.
