Position Overview
Kiewit Power Engineers has an immediate opening for a motivated Overhead Transmission Manager to join our growing Power Delivery team! As part of this team of highly specialized design professionals, you will support a variety of transmission and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV in both engineering detailed design and Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) projects for clients throughout the country.
You will be part of a team that supports all aspects of the project execution process by performing innovative design engineering through brainstorming conceptual designs, performing and/or reviewing final design and deliverables, scheduling tasks to meet client needs, as well as mitigating risk to ensure smooth and safe construction operations.

Location
This position is based out of Columbus, OH, and typically requires up to 15% travel.
Responsibilities
? ? Provide day-to-day supervision of the local overhead transmission team.
? ? Coordinate staffing needs and availability routinely with overhead transmission management peers in other locations.
? ? Promote development and mentorship of local overhead transmission team, including performance management and mapping of career paths, goals, and opportunities.
? ? Identify design-build opportunities and develop win strategy for capture
? ? Lead pursuits of design-build projects
? ? Consolidate best practices from project execution
? ? Interface and maintain relationships with external design partners
? ? Manage schedule and budget
? ? Manage deliverables, quality, and compliance
? ? Interface with other Kiewit operating districts
? ? Interface with construction project leadership
Qualifications
? ? Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited University
? ? At least ten years' experience performing overhead transmission engineering-related duties
? ? Professional Engineer (PE) license required
? ?Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

Working Conditions:
Fast-paced office environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
Travel in the U.S. and internationally (5-15%).
