Job Description:

We're hiring a direct W2 salaried or hourly Project Manager to work for us while working for our client in a potential long-term contract position. You will:

• Perform day-to-day management of the projects that you are assigned.
• Identify issues and risks an recommend issue and risk mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate between the client and the contracting agency.
• Ensure that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and is delivered on time and budget.
• Identify critical path, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide solutions to improve efficiency (including reducing costs while managing or improving performance)
• Monitor issues and provide resolutions for up-to-date status reports.
• Demonstrate excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Five years of professional experience in project management.
• Experience with structured project management methodologies
• Risk and issue management experience (ability to identify, document, and mitigate risks and issues and to understand and effectively manage project interdependencies)
• Knowledge of IT project environments (application development, infrastructure, and/or process)
• Experience in all bodies of knowledge (budget, schedule, scope, procurement, risk, change, communication, integration, resource, and more)
• Communication planning experience (developing and executing a comprehensive plan)
• Status reporting, ability to accurately represent Red, Yellow, or Green status based on client's definition.
• Creating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project schedules
• Using project software (MS Project/Project Server, Confluence, Smartsheet)
• Managing simultaneous projects

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Government experience
• Parks and recreation and/or metropolitan government experience
