As a Senior Project Manager within the Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing projects that ensure the organization's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. You will lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of compliance initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable value. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across various departments to identify risks, manage resources, and drive process improvements, all while maintaining a strong focus on business value realization. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the RM&C department's functions and objectives, as well as the Office of Legal Obligations (OLO) and Legal & Regulatory Change Management (LRCM) programs. Leveraging this knowledge, you will manage projects that support the organization's risk management strategies and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple large-scale projects within the RM&C organization, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and realization of project value.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, user acceptance testing (UAT), training coverage, and operational process updates.
  • Manage changes to project scope and schedule using established verification techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including OLO, LRCM, and technology partners, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards, and documentation for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining and updating the project RAID log as needed.
  • Provide regular status updates and escalate critical risks and issues to senior management and stakeholders in a timely manner. Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project success.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to inform all affected parties of changes. Provide training and support to ensure smooth adoption of changes.
  • Contribute to the development of the Project Management Office (PMO) Center of Excellence (COE) as part of organizational reinvestment.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in project/ program management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong data management skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and visualization.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and writing.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and provide new perspectives for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing projects and problem-solving.
  • Professional maturity and confidence in expressing viewpoints with varied stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships with RM&C stakeholders to influence and drive key decisions to solve any concerns/issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different business areas.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities
  • Experience in controls, compliance, operational risks and/or risk management frameworks preferred.
