The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks periodontists to apply for a temporary part-time clinical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Division of Periodontology. The need for this position will be reevaluated annually. This position offers an opportunity to join an active academic program and contribute to the mission of the College and the Division of Periodontology through teaching, research, and service. Primary responsibilities include clinical supervision and possible didactic lectures, with other duties supporting the division and college through teaching, service, and continuing education programs. The candidate will perform clinical teaching, possibly give lectures, and serve on other educational functions as needed. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment as well as implant-related procedures.
Required: Qualified candidates must have a DDS/DMD and/or equivalent degree and a periodontal certificate of advanced education in periodontics from a CODA-accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for a full or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Additional state licensure information is available from the Ohio State Dental Board. Desired: A MS or PhD degree is preferred.
