About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its Board of Maritime Pilots. The successful candidate will be the principal interface between the Board and various stakeholders, including state-licensed pilots, the shipping industry, environmental community, and government regulatory agencies. This role involves advising the Board on strategic direction, implementing policies, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of maritime shipping. The Executive Director will also be responsible for budget management, contract oversight, and promoting a culture of equity and inclusion. Key responsibilities include leadership, board liaison, safety and compliance, and public and legislative engagement.

Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company's Board of Maritime Pilots should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of professional experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to eight years. The ideal candidate will possess legal and policy expertise, be a strong communicator, and demonstrate the ability to lead and manage complex projects.
