Managing Director, Transaction Management - Lender Finance

Summary:

The Lender Finance division focuses on both recourse and non-recourse transactions to support commercial and consumer specialty finance companies. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and assets for the bank, leading the development of new structured transactions, and collaborating on existing bank transactions.

The Managing Director of Transaction Management in Lender Finance will lead a team of Transaction Managers, partnering with various internal teams to oversee the underwriting of new initiatives and modifications to current transactions. This position is essential in achieving a harmonious balance between the growth needs of the Commercial Bank and maintaining a scalable, efficiently managed operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Transaction Management team; collaborate with the Head of Lender Finance to effectively distribute transactions among team members.
  • Oversee vital Transaction Manager functions, including customer relationship management, negotiation support, and the underwriting of new opportunities while managing necessary documentation and due diligence for ongoing transactions.
  • Perform in-depth research utilizing various resources, condensing insights and conclusions into succinct and impactful summaries for presentation.
  • Cooperate with the Head of Portfolio Management to guarantee that risk reviews and ratings are conducted promptly.
  • Act as the key liaison between the Transaction Management team and Credit Officers, as well as Credit Review.
  • Oversee and manage any reporting requests, both regulatory and non-regulatory, for the Lender Finance line of business.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial banking, specifically in asset-backed finance underwriting.
  • Solid understanding of credit and advanced financial modeling capabilities.
  • Previous leadership experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • An MBA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated motivation with the capacity to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work settings.

Compensation Range: $190,000 - $255,000 Annual Salary

This compensation range represents the minimum and maximum base salary for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may fall below or exceed this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Additionally, the selected candidate will be eligible for an incentive compensation plan.
