Base pay range: $75.00/hr - $80.00/hr

World Wide Technology is looking for a Sr. Wireless Network Engineer. This role is part of WWTs Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWTs preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Job Title: Sr. Wireless Network Engineer

Job Location: Columbus, OH

Job Mode: 5 days Onsite at client site

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $85.00 to $92.00 hourly on W2. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Job Description Summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Sr. Wireless Network Engineer for a 6+ months contract position based in Columbus, OH, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts. The selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWTs preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the engineering, building, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network and related monitoring systems to ensure stability, reliability, and acceptable performance.
  • Design and support of routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF to ensure efficient and resilient network communication across the Medical Center's infrastructure.
  • Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the planning, design, installation, and implementation of the network infrastructure, including MPLS for traffic engineering and EVPN and VXLAN for scalable data center and campus network segmentation.
  • Plan and develop the detailed engineering, design, and implementation of the network environment, incorporating modern overlay and underlay architectures to support high availability and performance. Plan and perform upgrades of network systems hardware and support systems in accordance with ITIL best practices.
  • Manage network systems projects that range from medium to large in scope, risk, and impact. Lead and facilitate strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures, and/or workflow needs associated with network systems.
  • Research current and developing technologies to provide technical guidance pertaining to the capabilities, limitations, and requirements of network systems.
  • Experience working in large enterprises (preferably healthcare/hospital) environments.
