Assistant Director, Housing Dublin, OH

Description:

The Assistant Director will support the Executive Director of Housing inoverseeing daily housing operations, focusing on maintaining a positive teamenvironment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing consumersupport and growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of HouseLeads and Direct Support Professionals.
  • Foster a positive, innovative,person-centered environment.
  • Ensure compliance with state,county, and local regulations, as well as organizational standards.
  • Assist in new hire interviews andcoordinate in-service training.
  • Conduct meetings, evaluate staff,and recommend promotions.
  • Organize community outings andactivities for consumer growth.
  • Facilitate communication betweenfamilies and community resources.
  • Prepare staff reports and ensurecompliance with reporting.
  • Collaborate withmultidisciplinary teams to implement personalized treatments.
  • Coordinate schedules and fillopen shifts.
  • Act as a liaison and advocate forstaff.
  • Identify and solve potentialproblems and barriers.
  • Supervise department employeesand maintain compliance with protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or3-5 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in Special Educationor Developmental Disabilities (DD) field, preferred.
  • Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.
  • Minimum of two years in amanagement role.
  • Critical thinking andinitiative-taking abilities.
  • First Aid and CPR certification(or willingness to obtain).
  • Completion of Department ofDevelopmental Disabilities (DODD) training.
  • Clear background check and drugtest.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License and lessthan six points on your driving record.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise employeesaccording to organizational policies and laws.
  • Responsibilities include hiring,training, assigning work, performance appraisals, rewards, discipline, andconflict resolution.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent physical activities includewalking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing andwalking in the community and other activities.
  • Ability to tolerate varying noiselevels and exposure to weather extremes, bodily fluids, and stressfulsituations.
