Mars Petcare at Columbus, OH is looking for a Meat Prep Operator

Pay: $26.07/hour + $1.50 Shift Premium

Required Shift:

3rd Shift: Monday- Friday 11pm-730am

(Flexible pending business needs)

Job Purpose:

The Meat Prep Operator is responsible for supplying frozen meat to the factory via forklift in a timely manner while following safety protocols and production needs.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirement:

* High School diploma or GED

* Mechanical aptitude

* Computer / IPad literate

Physical Requirements:

* Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).

* Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot, cold, wet, dust, dirt and chemicals.

* Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping

* Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods

* Ability to read, write and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

* Forklift experience

* 1+ years of manufacturing experience

* RF Scanner/Blue Yonder/JDA experience

What will be my Responsibilities?

* Comply with Mars Petcare Quality and Food Safety Practices, GMPs, and other Food Safety and Regulatory Standards to ensure we manufacture a quality product.

* This area consists of the Haarslev, meat screws, grinders, and bunkers.

* Changing the grinder blades/hole plates, as necessary.

* Process meat based on the recipe needs using the order screen for normal production and changeovers.

* Operate and drive forklifts to transfer meat.

* Assist in system start-up and shutdown activities

* Effectively communicate with peers, lead, area coordinator, and manager.

* Preform CIL's and document abnormalities

* Any ad hoc requests
