Associate Vice President, Head of Private Practice Transactions

A highly regarded client is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join its team in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on traditional corporate and business transactions, with a specialization in post‑closing M&A disputes and transaction risk assessments, while offering direct mentorship from senior leadership and clear pathways for advancement.

Base Pay Range

$130,000.00/yr – $200,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on business formation, corporate governance, and contract matters.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other complex transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage closing processes.
  • Handle disputes involving purchase price adjustments, earn‑, and valuation of damages.
  • Analyze financial statements and transaction documents to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide guidance to clients on potential liabilities and ensure policies are enforced as intended.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in complex business transactions, including M&A, corporate governance, and contract matters.
  • Strong academic credentials; undergraduate degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • Previous work experience with tax, finance, or accounting related matters.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
