Apprentice Carpenter

Seeking a skilled laborer to engage in commercial and industrial construction, including tasks such as site preparation, assisting trades, reading plans, and maintaining safety standards. The role requires hands-on skills, tool knowledge, teamwork, and safety awareness to ensure quality building projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in commercial and industrial construction tasks, including concrete, steel, and carpentry work.
  • Prepare sites and assist tradesmen in various construction duties.
  • Read and interpret construction plans effectively.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality building projects.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Experience in construction and carpentry.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Knowledge of concrete work.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of commercial construction experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with pre-engineered buildings.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites around Columbus.
  • Potential for hire based on resume or interview with the general superintendent.

This position offers the opportunity to become a permanent member of a team with crews of carpenters and ironworkers, with potential for long-term career growth.

Work Environment

Work is conducted both outdoors and indoors on pre-engineered new builds, spec warehouse builds, and small new commercial projects. The team consists of skilled carpenters and ironworkers, typically working Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
