Position Summary


As an Applications Developer in our Columbus office, you will build and manage the firms custom application environments, including Microsoft PowerApps, SharePoint, and other relevant platforms. Working with IT peers and business customers, you design and implement solutions for collaboration, workflow automation, and information management while maintaining a secure and segregated development architecture. A collaborative and detail-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of UI/UX principles is essential.


Position Responsibilities



  • Build solutions within M365 and Azure environments that include workflow, process automation, forms, role?based rights management, and dashboard/reporting needs.

  • Design and develop applications within the M365 and Azure ecosystems of SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

  • Maintain existing custom applications and solutions through periodic lifecycle and release management of updated versions.

  • Manage backlog of requests for changes to existing solutions and use backlog to create regular version releases of new features and fixes.

  • Act as technical lead for any Power App or SharePoint process improvement initiatives to eliminate system complexities, improve user experience, and increase operational efficiency.

  • Maintain strong partnerships with key business and technical stakeholders, including attorneys, administrative staff, and professional teams, to understand business needs, strategies, and priorities.

  • Ensure end?user satisfaction by translating business needs into IT deliverables and maintaining open lines of communication throughout projects.

  • Support the firms change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, tools, or processes.

  • Assist in creating user training materials and conducting training sessions for end users and technical teams.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the firms key applications, including legal practice management systems, document management systems, time?keeping tools, and collaboration platforms.

  • Maintain standard operating procedures, user manuals, and documentation for application systems and workflows.

Qualifications


The Application Developer should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in similar business/industry roles. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a SharePoint or PowerApp developer is required. Experience using Azure Dev Ops, PowerApps and Power Automate is required. Experience using GitHub, Nintex, Fliplet, and HighQ is ideal but not required. Familiarity with full?service law firm technologies and processes is a plus. Microsoft Power Platform certification will be considered.
