Job Summary

Join our team as a Warehouse Selector! In this role, you will build and load pallets of products to meet the needs of our customers, following established standards for quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read pick sheets and navigate the warehouse using a pallet jack.
• Accurately select products and quantities, label them, and build pallets for loading onto trucks.
• Follow food safety procedures, ensuring the quality and proper handling of products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding product issues, safety concerns, and inventory levels.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Complete necessary paperwork and use a wearable computer to track time and productivity.
• Adhere to your scheduled hours and work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience:

• Preferred: 6 months of prior warehouse experience; or equivalent hands-on experience.

Certifications:

• Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.

Professional Skills:

• Knowledge of safe lifting and food safety guidelines.
• Ability to quickly and safely build pallets of products.
• Must be able to operate equipment in tight spaces.
• Meet and maintain productivity standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to follow instructions in various formats.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (e.g. safety shoes).

Physical Demand:

• Regularly stand, walk, and use hands for handling products.
• Lift and/or move weights between 50 - 90 pounds frequently.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment:

• Exposed to varying temperatures and moving mechanical parts.
• May work in high, precarious areas and be exposed to noise and airborne particles.
