Warehouse Associate (Forklift Specialist)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our logistics and supply chain team. This role is critical to our daily operations, involving the accurate movement of freight, inventory management, and the safe operation of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fast-paced warehouse environments and a proven track record of forklift safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift to load/unload trailers and move palletized freight throughout the facility.
  
• Inbound/Outbound Logistics: Receive incoming shipments, verify piece counts against bills of lading, and prepare outgoing shipments for domestic and international transport.
  
• Inventory Management: Utilize handheld RF scanners to track inventory movement and ensure high levels of data accuracy.
  
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S lean manufacturing principles and OSHA safety standards.
  
• General Labor: Perform manual palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and labeling as needed to meet shipping deadlines.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of documented experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
  
• Certifications: Must be able to pass a company-administered forklift practical exam and safety written test.
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
  
• Skills: Proficiency with RF scanner technology and basic computer data entry.
  
• Mindset: A "Safety First" attitude with a commitment to punctuality and teamwork.

• Previous experience in a global third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
  
• Familiarity with hazardous materials handling (HAZMAT) or international shipping documentation.
