Campus Minister - Columbus

International Friendships, Inc. is a Christian non-profit, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.

Expected work schedule for the Columbus Campus Minister:

  • Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
  • Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific ministry needs
  • Annual conferences such as the IFI Staff Retreat

Pay structure for a Columbus Campus Minister:

  • Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
  • Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
  • Pay range is typically between $25,709 and $80,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

Responsibilities:

This position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving. We are currently seeking Columbus Campus Ministers to serve at:

  • The Ohio State University
  • Franklin University
  • Denison University
  • Ohio Wesleyan University
  • Capital University
  • Columbus State Community College.

As a Columbus Campus Minister, you will:

  • Participate in IFI-sponsored outreach and special events on campus.
  • Share the love of God with international students through personal relationships and Bible discussions.
  • Mentor international students through personal involvement.
  • Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships.
  • Meet regularly with supervisor for input and direction.
  • Study international cultures, especially those of the people you serve.

Qualifications needed of a Columbus Campus Minister, including Spiritual Characteristics:

  • Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
  • Faithful in evangelism and hospitality to international students as well as discipling believers to do the same
  • Well organized, takes initiative, able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Proficient with technology necessary to the ministry, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

Education/Experience Preferred for a Columbus Campus Minister:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum of one-year involvement in campus ministry or completion of IFI ISEED Program
