This position is located at the 4-H Center and hours are flexible. This position can work up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.
The student assistant will provide customer service (in person/telephone/email/online) in support of clientele, prepare mailings, make copies, do filing and perform other office support as needed.
The student assistant will assist with preparation and coordination of activities at special 4-H events, assist with evaluations, data entry and run reports, assist with updating websites and online research.
Desired experience would include computer skills in word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and mail merges; familiarity with 4-H programming.
Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees. Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment. Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
