Westerwood is actively seeking a part-time Resident Services Aide to add to our incredible team and community. This position provides care to our Independent Living residents and is scheduled to work 7am-3pm, every other weekend.
Job Duties
The Resident Services Aide is responsible for assisting residents to live independently in their apartments, as long as their capabilities permit. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assists residents with activities of daily living including such as dressing, showering, shampooing, nail/skin care, and other personal care.
- Provides services such as blood pressure checks, wellness checks, basic first aid, wheelchair transport, activity reminders, etc.
- Assists residents with other chores such as bed making, light housekeeping, mail pick-up, etc.
- Assists and reminds resident to take medication by verbal prompting.
- Responds to apartment calls and emergencies
- Assists residents in integrating into the community by providing encouragement, emotional support, and facilitating formation of friendships, attendance at activities, etc.
