Large enough to provide a broad range of experiences but small enough to retain a flexible environment.We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to play a key role on our ODOT Statewide Overhead Sign inspections contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in ancillary structure inspection and ancillary structure design/repair design. This position requires the ability to manage projects, liaise with clients and government agencies, and perform both structural inspections and design. This is a great opportunity for a technically driven professional seeking career growth. The Project Manager plans, designs, and directs projects by performing the following duties. This candidate must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
• Demonstrates strong proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Responsible for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.
• Takes an active role in contract negotiations, project planning, project quality, and project profitability.
• Oversees project budgets.
• Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
• Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
• Provides leadership in client management, proposal preparation, project scoping, and estimating project costs.
• Responsible for maintaining meaningful relationships with clients.
• Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
• Directs and supervises the work of project teams and support staff.
• Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
• Ensures that staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receive such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work.
• This position can require up to 50% travel.

Qualifications Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.

• 5 years or more experience in project management.
• 10+ years' experience in transportation structure inspection.
• Experience in ancillary structure inspection strongly preferred.
• Experience in ancillary structure design/repair design is a plus.
• Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
