Jackson Health System - 1611 N.W. 12th Avenue - Responsibilities: Documents and maintains manual/electronic logs of all incoming requests for transfer.; Maintains constant line of communication with Transfer Center Clinical Care Coordinators regarding new transfers and bed assignments.; Works closely with the Transfer Center Clinical Care Coordinator to initiate and arrange for patient bed assignment according to policies governing specialties, services and requested accommodations.; Performs various fact-finding tasks upon presentation of transfer and collects and verifies necessary financial and or third party information in order to determine credit and collections eligibility.; Notifies the patient's insurance company in order to obtain payment authorization.
