Description:

Equity-Based Compensation Accountant

Responsible for performing accounting activities related to equity-based compensation and employee benefit programs. This role supports monthly and quarterly close processes by reconciling benefit plan activity, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with cross-functional finance and HR partners to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper reporting of benefit-related financial information.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day accounting for equity-based compensation and benefit programs, including stock options, RSUs, health and welfare programs, and insurance policies.
  • Prepare and support reconciliations of benefit plan activity; ensure related balance sheet accounts are accurate, properly documented, and reviewed as part of the monthly and quarterly close process.
  • Support coordination with HR, payroll, and external administrators to help ensure accurate valuation, expense recognition, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, schedules, and financial reports; perform basic analysis for management review.
  • Follow established processes and assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, documentation, and internal controls within the benefits and equity accounting function.
  • Apply sound judgment in completing assigned tasks and escalate issues or discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Education:

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
