Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

We seek a diligent, dedicated and meticulous Planner who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Specifically:

• Support Business Support Lead in the management of customer fulfillment, focusing on strategic demand planning and associated material needs.
• Issue purchase requests to Avos procurement system.
• Lead daily correspondence with customers inventory, finance, and planning teams addressing material receipts, inventory consumption, and discrepancies between accounting systems.
• Attend regular calls with key suppliers; provide long term forecasts, analyze and address risk factors to mitigate disruptions to supply.
• Balance safety stock by component to stay within bounds of Avos inventory value limits.
• Prepare and present weekly CTB (Clear to Build), WIP status, and inventory upload.
• Analyze product costing to understand and communicate variances.
• Seek purchase orders from customer to support forecast.
• Manage customer orders with timely reconciliations and closure.

Requirements:

• BS in finance, accounting or related discipline
• 5+ years detailed complex demand and material planning
• 5+ years in high-volume manufacturing environment
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Proven ability to problem solve in a team-based environment
• Inventory Management experience preferred
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
