About the Role
As our Automation Recovery Technician, you will be responsible for responding to system issues reported by operators, troubleshooting error messages, and performing system recovery to restore operations quickly and safely. This role focuses on hands-on recovery and troubleshooting within automated systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient workflow. While computer knowledge is essential for diagnosing software-related problems, the emphasis is on practical troubleshooting skills across all aspects of the automated systems.
What You'll Do
Respond to operator-reported system errors and alarms in a timely manner.Troubleshoot error messages and system faults across mechanical, electrical, and software components. Perform system recovery procedures to restore automation flow and minimize downtime.
Issue Identification: Promptly identify and diagnose malfunctions, errors, or abnormalities within the automated systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
Troubleshooting: Utilize practical troubleshooting techniques to pinpoint root causes of problems and develop effective solutions. This may involve inspecting machinery, testing components, and analyzing data logs.
Problem Solving: Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and disruptions to warehouse operations.
Preventive Maintenance: Assist with preventive maintenance activities to proactively address potential problems before they escalate. This includes conducting inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs as necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of troubleshooting activities, including observations, diagnoses, and solutions implemented. Document recurring issues and propose long-term corrective actions.
Basic Computer Knowledge: Have a basic understanding of computer systems to diagnose and address software-related issues within the automated systems.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with maintenance technicians, IT specialists, and other stakeholders to address complex issues and implement effective solutions. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
