DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will provide specialized psychological services to forensic patients. These patients are either deemed incompetent to stand trial, awaiting sentencing, facing psychiatric challenges that affect their prison adjustment, or have been found not guilty by reason of insanity. Your work will involve completing initial assessments of new admissions, selecting the most appropriate psychological treatment interventions, and determining the structure and focus of therapy sessions. You will then customize positive reinforcement programs to meet the needs of individual patients or specific wards. This role requires the ability to address psychiatric issues and ensure the effective management of referral related forensic cases. Some of your duties will include completing all necessary documentation in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards and participating in forensic meetings and supervisory sessions, Additionally, you will resolve routine unit problems as they arise.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:A Master's Degree in psychology or a closely related field which includes fifteen credits in PsychologyApplicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
