About the Family
A warm and welcoming private family located in Bryn Mawr, PA, with a summer
residence in Longport, NJ, is looking to hire a dedicated and professional Chef (who
can also manage basic household tasks) to join their household. They value
discretion, reliability, and someone who will be a long-term fit and take pride in
creating a well-run, healthy, and inviting home environment.
• Children: None in the household
• Home Size: Two residences (primary in Bryn Mawr and a summer home in
Longport, NJ)
• Pets: Small dog
• Household Staff: The Private Chef / Household Manager will coordinate with
outside vendors and oversee completion of maintenance and repairs
Responsibilities
Private Cook Duties
• Prepare fresh, healthy dinners daily during the week (generally the meal is for
a single family member)
• Cook for small dinner parties and occasional casual gatherings (approximately
1x/every 2 months, more often during the summer season)
• Grocery shopping and maintaining pantry inventory
Household Management Duties
• Coordinate home maintenance and vendor scheduling (pool, repairs)
• Manage household supplies and inventory
• Maintain accurate spending records
• Oversee the care and upkeep of car collection (service, cleaning, fueling)
• Provide occasional chauffeuring (e.g., airport, trips to NYC)
• Handle guest reception and household communications
• Manage wine inventory, including shipments, cellar organization, and
recordkeeping
• Assist with technology as needed (phones, computers, printers, televisions)
Summer Season (Longport, NJ)
• Travel with the family (typically Thursday to Sunday)
• Prepare and serve meals including dinner parties for up to 10 guests and
Sunday brunches
• Separate private condo provided for use while at the shore
Ideal Candidate & Personality

and can demonstrate basic household management skills. They are flexible and calm
under pressure and are good at communicating. A good fit for this role would be

Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a cook, with household management
experience a plus
• Strong culinary skills with a focus on healthy eating
• Valid driver's license and comfort driving in city and suburban settings
• Ability to manage household operations independently
• Flexible schedule, especially during summer months
• Tech-savvy with ability to troubleshoot basic devices
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Legal to work in the U.S. and able to pass background and reference checks
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience
• Schedule: Full-time; 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, five days per week
