At Bala you will enjoy an exceptional employee experience that results in a successful career based on collaboration, leadership, and personal development.As a multi-discipline engineering firm, Bala is a leader in innovative designs for building systems in High Rise, Mission Critical, Multi-Unit Housing, Commercial Office, Higher Education, Transportation, Adaptive Reuse and Life Science facilities.ResponsibilitiesPerform commissioning and/or QA/QC testing oversight of mechanical equipment.Manage Commissioning and Testing Projects (client, internal team and project financials).Lead projects and write proposals, test scripts and reports.Mentor and train other Commissioning team members.Coordinate invoicing with Accounting Department.Attend conferences and networking events periodically.National travel needed as necessary to complete Commissioning & Testing activities at client sites with reimbursement of expenses for travel/ lodging/car rental/meals.QualificationsBS Mechanical Engineering (or similar qualification)Mid-level commissioning engineer (7+ years experience)Data center experience (required)Must be willing to travel across the U.S. for extended periods of time required to support project construction schedules and be willing to work various hours (days, night and weekends)Hands on experience with mechanical equipment testing is a mustEIT/PE/CPMP a plusMilitary background in mechanical system's operation and repair a plus.Hardworking and well-motivated engineer with the desire to learn and solve problemsProficient technical writing skills (proposals, test scripts and reports) and communication skillsAbility to work in office and client sites (new construction and existing facilities) with driver's licenseBackground check & drug screening may be required by client for onsite projectsCompensation and BenefitsBALA's compensation package includes a rich benefits package along with market competitive salary structure.
