Summary: Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition according to established sanitation and service standards.Engagement Expectations:We believe that team member engagement is the basis for a great culture and superior guest service. During every interaction, we display three behaviors:* Smile, display energy and open body language* Proactively greet team members and guests, initiating interaction to provide service* Always use a positive parting remark to end the conversationEssential Job Functions:* Scrapes food from dirty dishes.* Places tableware in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.* Washes pots, pans, and other cooking utensils and equipment.* Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.* Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.* Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.* Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.* Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.* Follows sanitation and safety guidelines.* Performs all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:* Must be 18 years of age or older.* High school diploma or equivalent.* At least six months related experience or training preferred.* Must be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays* Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.Physical and Mental Demands:* Regularly required to see; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.* Frequently required to stoop, and kneel.* Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.* Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
