About the Role

The Company is seeking a Treasurer to join its Executive Board. The Treasurer will be a key officer responsible for upholding the organization's financial integrity. This role involves developing and implementing financial policies and investment strategies, assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, and ensuring that financial statements are reviewed by the board. The Treasurer will also oversee the filing of tax returns to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and will be tasked with devising and maintaining internal controls to protect the organization's assets.Applicants for the Treasurer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA or MBA being preferred. A strong background in financial management, particularly within a nonprofit setting, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nonprofit financial principles and regulations, as well as excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software, fundraising, and financial management systems is also required. The time commitment for this role is approximately 5-10 hours per month.
