The medical receptionist is responsible for servicing all areas and completing all tasks related to the front desk area of a physician practice. As client facing professionals, this position plays a key role in representing the practice in the community. As a Medical Receptionist you will:Serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Optimize patients satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
